What began as a single location quickly grew, with three additional bars opening just a year later in 2018. Two of these expanded across the Irish Sea to the UK, bringing the spirit of Ireland to North Harrow and Epsom. Closer to home, our third location of the year opened in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal — cementing our commitment to both our local roots and international ambitions.

This is the first of the McCafferty’s Bars, which began in Donegal Town on Friday 13th January 2017 when the Boyle family bought a well know bar on the diamond. The bar had its name going back through generations of McCafferty families from the locality.
Formally The Bayview, McCafferty’s Bar & Restaurant, Dungloe is the 9th McCafferty’s to open its doors to the public. The bar is finished in an authentic traditional style, offering a warm Irish welcome. The bar comprises of two floors & 3 bars overall.
The bar has been open since October ‘18 and proving to be a hot spot with the locals & tourists alike, 7 nights a week all year round. It comprises 3 floors, starting from the bottom, Nellie Rua’s – the cocktail, gin & whiskey bar. Moving up to Sonny McSwine’s / McCafferty’s on the middle floor, we host live music 7 nights a week. The top floor has widescreen TVs for our sports fans.
McCafferty's at the Barge is an institution in Dublin, well known for impromptu parties when the sun shines! However, our talents do not stop when the sun goes down. If anything, that is when the Barge is at its best. We now have Live Music 7 nights a week as Dublin's Hottest New Music Venue.
